Wanna know what I’m thankful for? This upcoming Thanksgiving break. We all need some time off now and then, and this whole week that we get off from school is the perfect time to catch up on sleep, and of course, on classwork. Thanksgiving is also a time to be grateful for the things we have and are able to do day-to-day—simple things that we may not think to appreciate in the moment. Here is a list of 20 things I’m thankful for at Whitman:
- Stargazing on Ankeny
- The plentitude of music practice rooms
- Small sized classes
- The Beta Theta Pi pool table
- The quiet room in the library
- Amicable greetings from passersby
- The cross-campus wifi
- My professors’ enthusiasm
- The acoustics in Chism Hall
- Prentiss’ grand piano
- The incredibly colorful autumn
- My supportive Theta sisters
- The abundance of treadmills in the gym
- Listservs
- The cutest college town
- Constantly saturated sunsets
- The wide variety of study abroad options
- Coffee punch cards
- The Finnish sauna in Sherwood
- Everything I need is under 10 minutes away
