About

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Emma Rust. I’m currently a junior who is double majoring in Psychology and Art. You’re probably wondering what studying abroad in Italy has to do with these two majors combined, and well, it doesn’t have anything to do with Pysch. I’m going to be attending the Syracuse University Fine Arts school abroad in Florence to hone in on my technical art growth and also to experience a change from the old Whitman bubble that I’ve grown too used to in the past couple years. This blog will hopefully be a culmination of my artistic growth and personal growth during the coming semester, so you can expect lots of photos of illustrations and sculptures that I’ll be making, in addition to photos of places I visit and the people I meet. I also plan on sharing tangents about my experiences navigating a foreign place and reflections about my growth. Though Whitman has already pushed me so much, I’m excited to see what challenges and opportunities face me in the upcoming semester, and I’m even more excited to get the chance to share them with you all. Stay tuned.
