Whitties Helping Whitties – Seattle

The SAM was abuzz with conversation as 120 Whitman students and alumni gathered for this networking event. Jonathan Sposato ’89 engaged the crowd with the story of his transition from Whitman student to successful entrepreneur. Students and alumni met and shared their recent work and experiences.

Event description: Alumni working at Amazon.com, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Microsoft and more meeting with students in Seattle, a high-demand location for jobs and internships. This event is aimed at networking and building a bridge to the professional world together.

Why Network? : Networking is important. It’s estimated that fewer than 8% of jobs are secured through internet search only, while 64% are secured when the candidates utilize networking.
