Orientation week known as “O-week” here at the University of Otago is CRAZY. Not only are there multiple events and concerts but there are rugby games, tours, and lectures happening simultaneously. O-Week is insane but it helped me to figure out my way around campus and to meet a lot of people. I did a lot of cool stuff on and off campus! Here is a short list of the things I did:
1. Tent City
2. Club Fair
3. Six60 concert
4. Highlanders vs. Chiefs Rugby game
5. Campus Tour
6. Pacific Island Welcome
7. Surfing at St. Claire
8. Sports Day
It was a pretty packed week not to mention that I had to go grocery shopping throughout the week as well. I live in the Uniflats which is a housing for international students and they provide almost everything for us. Thank goodness! All I had to get was necessities and food which by the way is a little expensive. Other than that it has been amazing getting to explore and meet new people here on campus. Ahuihou!
