Hey everyone! I’m Val, currently a junior over at Whitman College.
I’m spending a semester abroad at AIT! I couldn’t find a better way to keep all the memories and share every bit of this adventure than this blog. Right here, I’ll be your go-to source for all the fun stories, the unexpected challenges, and the tons of discoveries I’m about to make.
From the very first step of adjusting to a different academic setting, to wandering through the heart of the city, tasting new foods, and maybe even picking up a few words in a new language, I’ll be sharing it all. Imagine finding those hidden gems in the city, from the coziest corners to the liveliest spots, and the crazy adventures with friends I haven’t even met yet. This blog is going to be a mix of a travel diary, a student guide, and a personal space where I spill the beans on what it’s really like to live and study abroad.
Not only am I planning to dive into academic life and tell you all about my courses and classroom experiences, but I’m also on a mission to soak up the culture, the sights, and the sounds. From the scenic views that take your breath away to the small, everyday moments that end up being the most memorable, you’ll get a front-row seat to everything through my posts.
So, whether you’re thinking about studying abroad and looking for some real-talk about what it’s like, or you’re just here to live vicariously through my adventures (and misadventures!), you’re in the right place. Stay tuned for all the stories, tips, photos, and maybe even some videos of this incredible journey. Welcome aboard my semester abroad at AIT!
