Hi all!

My name is Beth Kutina and I’m a junior majoring in Environmental Studies -Biology! I’m originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota (a suburb right outside of Minneapolis) and I am so ecstatic about this opportunity to study abroad. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, and I’ve recently gotten into birding! 🙂

My name is Alejandra and I’m a junior Environmental Studies – Sociology major, originally from Austin, Texas. When I’m not studying or sleeping I love to read, write, and participate in contact sports such as soccer and roller derby. Working in the Student Engagement Center and being on the Debate team have both been important parts of my time at Whitman so far. I’m super stoked to be in Costa Rica and I hope to capture my experience as best as I can while I’m here for this blog!
