Fall Interns meet for the first time!

This Wednesday at noon the group of 11 Fall Interns met for the first time to kick-off their internships, learn more about their role as Whitman Interns, and get to know each other a little bit better.

This Fall the Student Engagement Center received three times as many applications as last year and we were able to award the highest number of Fall Internship grants in the Center’s history. As Fall Interns these students will spend the semester working part-time at the organization of their choice pursuing their academic and professional interests.

Fall Internship Meeting

The Fall Interns are Henry Phillips, Haley Friel, Kanupria Sanu, Evan Heberlein, Erin Campbell, Anna Cichocki, Jyotica Barrio, Skye Vander Laan, Annie Sirski, Eli Robinson, and Gillian Friedman.

They developed innovative projects at Friends of Children of Walla Walla, the Children’s Resilience Initiative, the Sustainable Living Center, Walla Walla County Health Department, Walla Walla Community Hospice, the Walla Walla Small Business Development Center, Helpline, Oregon Wildlife, and KUJ 1420 AM.

Please join us in congratulating these 11 young men and women to their roles as ambassadors of Whitman to the community!
