Hoi! My name is Mary, and I am a junior Psychology major on a pre-medicine track at Whitman College. I will be spending this Fall 2017 semester studying at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam through the IES-Psychology and Sciences program.

I am an outdoor enthusiast and a city dweller at heart. When I travel, or even go on an extended weekend camping trip with friends, I keep a journal of my adventures. I record activities for the day, restaurant names, funny jokes, and small mementos like metro tickets and maps. Friends can attest that while it way be way past my bedtime, I will stay up in the corner with my headlamp on to journal.

This blog serves as a challenge to me to not only relay my experiences abroad to others, but to truly reflect on my personal growth and encounters. So come along and experience a semester in Amsterdam with me! The more the m(ary)ier!!
