About

Aloha kākou!

My name is Tehani Louis-Perkins and I am a junior Environmental Studied-Biology major from Hale’iwa, Hawai’i. I like to focus on conservation whether terrestrial or marine and combining Hawaiian culture with it. I will be studying abroad in Aotearoa otherwise known as New Zealand and enrolling at the University of Otago in Dunedin.

When I am not studying, working, or interning I enjoy being outside. I enjoy he’enalu (surfing), lawai’a (fishing), hana ho’opīhoihoi (adventuring), ho’okele (sailing), and kaʻahele (traveling).

I am excited to go to Aotearoa to learn more about my Maori cousins and to see the different ways that Aotearoa is combing the indigenous culture with sustainable practices and policies. While learning all these things I am also excited to explore, adventure, and immerse myself in Aotearoa.

Welcome to my blog which will include pictures of beautiful scenery and occasionally a weird selfie.
