Hello! I’m Genevieve.

This is my blog to share my experience studying abroad in Switzerland with SIT: Banking, Finance, and Social Responsibility. I am a junior at Whitman College double majoring in economics and history. Previous to going to study abroad, I was CEO of the Whitman Investment Company (WIC) which has been very formative to my on-campus life and understanding of the finance world.

I’m looking forward to studying in Geneva, the center of all things world development and banking, to not only learn more about finance but understand how it can be a tool for social justice.

As a Pell Grant recipient, I applied for and was awarded a Gilman Scholarship to study abroad. I would highly recommend all who qualify to talk to a study abroad advisor about applying. Through my writing, I hope I can make studying abroad more approachable for others with similar backgrounds.
