Shared Governance and COVID-19

The national AAUP, in a special report, concludes that the pandemic has eroded shared governance at many institutions. At some, “the pandemic exacerbated long-festering conditions. At other institutions, governing boards and administrations opportunistically exploited the pandemic,” according to the May 26, 2021, e-mail announcement of the report’s release.
